Hi there!
I am sharing a card today in which I used my "backyard" as inspiration. That is kinda funny since I live in a forested area and there really is no yard-front or back. But the outdoors is my favorite place and provides me with wonderful inspiration.
To create this card I used a tree stencil and modified the outline with a black
watercolor pencil and distress inks. Since I'm sure you don't want to
see the remaining dirty snow I added some wild flowers which will soon be blooming. The stamp was misted to give the feeling of the many flowers. The butterfly is stamped with archival ink on Clearly for Art, clear
acetate. One can heat and bend this product to add dimension.
Here the top front wing is bent to be approximately 1/4" above the card. Like
the sentiment says I wish the recipient quiet, peaceful moments to find
inspiration for creating art.
I also wanted to use my card as a reminder
that the Mixed Media Card Challenge theme this month is wings and foil as an optional element and the deadline is May 25. Please see the website for the full details.
Thanks for looking!..Jan
This is really gorgeous Jan. I love how you've layered your scene --- so beautiful! Love the transparency of the butterfly. xx
